Leicester City Chairman dies in a helicopter crash

The owner of the Leicester City soccer team was on the helicopter that crashed outside the club's King Power Stadium car park, the BBC and the club have reported.



Although those aboard the chopper was not know after the crash but a statement by the club yesterday, 29th Oct, confirmed that, the club owner and Thai billionaire, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha  was among the five people aboard.


Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter when it came down on Saturday. Witnesses said they saw it just clear the stadium before it spiralled out of control and crashed in a fireball.

Leicester had drawn 1-1 against West Ham United at the stadium earlier before the helicopter took off from the pitch.

No one survived the crush last Saturday.
