NUGS supports Katanga to oppose halls conversion

Katanga Alumni Petitioned National Association of Ghana Students 

Last month, the Katanga Alumni body petitioned the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) on the on-going battle with Kwame Nkrumah Univ. of Sci. and Technology’s (KNUST) management plans to convert the two male halls on the university’s campus into a mixed hall.

NUGS is the Mother Body of all Student Unions; from the Graduate down to the Basic Level with the primary aim of protecting the rights & interest of all Ghanaian students.

The Alumni’s summoned the association to intercede on their behalf and liaise with management with the hopes of refuting the decision.

NUGS Decision on the Katanga petition 

According to a publication sighted by yawpreko, NUGs has expressed plans to stand with “Katanga old boys” in the processes to ensure that their pleadings see reality in the midst of uncertainties and authority.

The Alumni have correspondingly communicated their gratitude to their parent body for their backing in this momentous scuffle.
