Well, you have read so many thing about our late
former Veep after his untimely demise last.
He was a great man, had a sense of human, an economic
guru and a fine Gentleman (Dr Bawuia) which we all know but what are some of
the common things we all know about him and what might never hear only on www.yawpreko.com.
The late Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur was born on
April 29, 1951, and passed away on June 29, 2018. Amissah-Arthur was
married to Matilda Amissah-Arthur with two children.
He was the sixth Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana’s, from 6
August 2012 until 7 January 2017.
He became the vice president after the demise of our Late President,
John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills on 24 July 2012 which saw former president John
Dramani Mahama, the then vice president, sworn in as president.
The seat of vice presidency then became vacant upon which he was tactically
nominated as for the vice presidency. He was approved by vetting by the
Parliament of Ghana and thereafter was sworn in as Vice-President on 6 August
2012.
But before these, he was
human and came from a womb in the central region.

- He worked as a consultant to the World Bank
- He attended Mfantsipim School in the Central region
- He obtained his tertiary education at University of Ghana (BSc. And MSc. In Economics).
- He wass a lecturer (Department of Economics, University of Ghana from 1980 to 1988 and at the Department of Economics, Anambra State College of Education, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria from August 1981 - July 1983)
- He went into politics in 1997.
